So this is a really fast forward post....WE JUST GOT MARRIED! AGAIN!!!

And I have yet to blog all the happy details I know....but for now, I'm posting my-dream-come-true-vintagey-super8-style-wedding video =)

And you can already tell I've replayed this countless times...

It seems that I can't wait to show this to my future grandchildren!

Remember this post?

Well, who said husbands don't meddle around on wedding preps???

Most of us brides know in the history of men that husbands usually just leave all the wedding blings blings to us, yeah? Oh but lucky lucky me, I just discovered more recently my husband's amazing talent of drawing/sketching. He even made me my photography logo. Yeeeehaaaa! (oh i did brag about that already right? haha)

The husband has always love drawing since high school but left that kind of talent untapped over the years. Haha Well, such gifts must serve their purpose right? and so, I bought him his bamboo toy last May so he can start drawing again. Hurrayyy! So for the passed week, he spent few nights in drawing up our wedding map -- religiously -- not just the starting point of where our chapel is located but also few significant places where we've spent our time together, up until where our wedding reception is -- by the beach!

Oh I am such a proud wifey grinning at you now. Nobody should get lost with this huh? Haha We'll just add few tiny descriptions on the print later! Gotta click to zoom in! Weeeeeh! ♥ ♥ ♥

Staring at my google calendar, apparently all weekends seems to be booked either with client shoots or piles of edits, huh? Uhmmm..anyway....still...the following list below MUST be DONE!!! Otherwise, I'm doomed! tsk tsk

1. Must start (i think i told myself a million times on this, ooops!) and FINISH design of DIY Guestbook *wink*

2. Collaboration with buddy Dimps and my hubby for the logo/monograms for wedding invites/table cards/etc --- *ahem, now a bragging wife coz husband just made me a lovey logo for my photography site here! ♥*

3. Hunt my wedding shoes/flats/boots/oxford? *eyes rolling hehe*

You know i actually adore this....it gave me some thoughts hehe but i know most won't agree...hihi
4. Hunt hubby's handsome-ness suit! *at least we've found his vintage-y shoes already! Yiiiyyy!*

5. Deal with what wedding favors to give! Why can't I just think of 'something'! *big cry*

6. Find us a jazz/bossa band (as budget is tight though, if this plan fails, hope the jukebox comes as a rescue hihihi)

7. Oh, wait --- must book Church choir,too!

9. Desperate to find 'wooden chairs for rent' yet for the reception! *big big cry*

Amidst so much to do yet for the wedding preparations, I have to at least blog this.

Well, why because we got our earliest wedding gift from my bff Yvon!

Free Concert Tickets to LISA ONO LIVE in Singapore!

Oh my I can scream HAPINESSSSSSSSS!!!!

I have missed Bebel Gilberto's Apr 19th concert and I just died knowing I couldn't make it. =(

Then came an uplifting news, found out thru friend Vanessa that someone else was coming to town.... weeeeeeeh!

Don't wonder how much I love Lisa! least to say BOSSA & Jazz *as big as my grin shows perhaps?* =)

Who's back?

Sorry for the long absence since I left for Cebu homebound preps.

You don't need to hear my 'always busy' line of excuses *tongue out*

Let's get straight ahead down to business. Where do I start recheckin' my list huh?

1. I've visited again our wedding reception area at Vistamar --- last time I was there around 2006 and the moment I stepped there again --- I knew, it's meant to be it!

Here's beachfront I just took quickly of...

2. MIRACLE DRESSMAKER. Talk about miracle? My dearest wedding planner friend Tisha has helped me find one miracle dressmaker who can make my dream boho-vintage dress...and looks like the lace works are now work-in-progress!!! Woop! Let's hope everything turns out as they should be when I fit it! Haha *big big grin*

3. Videographer: booked and happy coz my super8mm style/themed will be realized soon! Yey!

4. HMUA. Met my make up artist and had my hair done and all that ---my hair was all curly at the tip and I soo luv it...but for the make up? uhmmm i need to tell you how naive I was --really --- I'm just not into make up since birth hahaha -- so it appears that it turned out not much of a success yet. Well, we're doing a trial make up again when I get back to Cebu to work on my ignorance. Hahah no panic-mode on that yet! =)

5. Hotel dress up. We're booking "BE Hotel" (formerly Microtel) in Cebu. I fell in love with the minimalism of this pretty pretty place.

Oh yeah, meet my wedding planner friend Tisha and her hubby Teody. I couldn't have done much of the preps in Cebu without them!

And happy to meet our lovely florist, Sheila. So much to look forward to our styling ideas for the shabby-chic-vintagey reception!!!

6. Parent's Gown/Suit. All will be taken cared of by a family friend. Our mom's would look fab with these, won't they? =)

7. The Jukebox. Found it thru Teody. Hah! all along Teody knew where to find one and it's at one of the best dining place in Cebu, Casa Verde! Haha. But we haven't asked the owner how much to rent it --- just all gleeful when I saw it! can't imagine not having one in the reception you see! =)

8. Cupcake Tower & Food Food Food. These wouldn't be a problem as I discussed with Kusina Habana,too. Food tasting will have to be scheduled next time I get home before the wedding event.

Well well well, look how much we've achieved on my visit huh? *winks at Tisha!*

But why am I feeling that tingling 'thing' in me now? *glimpsing at the countdown*

85 days to go???!!!! Eng eng eng

I should hunt for my wedding shoes now, right? And oh finalize the wedding invites...and oh buy the groom his suit,too! Oh dear. *grin*

Homebound Preps

Off I pack up (yeah just me alone) this coming Friday, Mar 26 until Mar 30, 2010 to Cebu.

127 days to go before our wedding-to-be!!!

Apparently, the rest of the world is panickin' but not yet me. LOL!

So yeah, it's a sudden trip I need to take to attend on urgent matters to personally meet dear suppliers with my dearest wedding planner/friend Tisha Sanchez-Cue.

On top of my to-do-lists:

Ocular visit to Vistamar and work with all the styling together with our florist
Find me a "miracle" designer/dressmaker
Food tasting if feasible
Decide on Videographer (am serious on the super8mm!!!)
Checklisting on Church document requirements
Meet with officiant priest
Trial make up
And etcetera etcetera ......

In between times, I hope I can sneak out and get sunkissed by the beach!!! Teehee!

And can't wait to eat 'saging and ginamos' and 'binignit'!!!!

I was going over my Knot.com's checklist reminders again and glad to have marked off few major items that were taken cared off... *a little clap from you please and hugs to my wedding coordinator of course*...but there's this one teeny item that made me dread the day. Hahahaha

"Start taking better care of yourself. Get in wedding day shape ..."

(obviously this is not my tummy....hahaha)

And I smirked, "Yeah right!" Ahahahaha

Well, yeah I better be.

So far, I've been catchin' up with my jogging, biking and yoga last few weeks ----however, consistency is just where I flunked. Teehee!!!

But I am getting serious a bit now. I dare myself --- March will be a better start over to lose a few pounds.

*cross fingers*

And hey, this tasks goes for the husband too!!! So I hope it's gonna be a teamwork! Tsk tsk!

I must put up a signboard somewhere that I'm not really THAT into Flowers. Oh but hey, I love them when I see them, not just INTO them, you know what I mean? So that's why I don't know what flowers to pick for my bouquet, needless to say for the whole wedding itself but Thank Heavens, I have a flower faery/friend/wedding coordinator Tisha to confide with. I just recently put up that tick-tock wedding counter on the side bar.

It's pretty scary and exhilarating at the same time to look at you know -- a great way to keep me awake,too on sleepy lazy times ---like how I spent these passed days.

I've been rummaging online for outlandish ideas while I wait for my wedding coordinator/friend, Tisha to fix up our reception & catering details (contract drafting process by now).

Some updates on the CHECKLIST so far ...

VIDEOGRAPHER.

Tisha have asked a videographer prospect who can possibly come up with a super8mm-style-wedding-coverage. THAT I'd luv to see a sample first before I go and sign the contract. =)

INVITES/SAVE THE DATES.

The initial idea is a Vintage PostCard or Airmail Design (with fun stamps & doodles) using a TYPEWRITER's Font. If I knew calligraphy myself or with my own proud handwriting skills (haha), I'd luv to just do so myself. Hmmm. Haven't drafted any details for that yet. Will be working closely with my faery buddy on that SOON. Our Deadline's on May(?)*winks to Dimps*

Before I write further, just so you know, I haven't given up on ~~desperately~~ searchin' for my wedding gown yet. *wink*

So while I'm rummaging on that, I am thinking to spare our GUESTS from same tedious task (or NOT?!). As I want something at least out of the mundane, like how fun it was wearing GREEN on our civil wedding while the rest wore WHITE, so this time on our church wedding, how about if the rest wear JUST ANYTHING but VINTAGE-Y.

But I went utterly out of heartbeat --- when I found out this was already RESERVED for someone else --- imagine my total dismay...and in no time, few minutes (while writing this), the owner replied to confirm the buyer already made the deposit. Given that I might find a dressmaker to make one for me, will it even cost me as wonderfully cheap as this with all those details? Hmmmmm.

Well, I did prefer a lunch reception party, however, with much weighin' on the pro's and con's... and besides, to exactly mark our wedding a year after (Round 2) so to speak, dinner became the best decision to make. =)

Oh my...I surely wish we can pull out something as close to these gorgeousness. Hehe

I even wonder if we can transform the whole boardwalk into something that gives a 'back-in-the 60's or 70's feel'. Hmmm like this table set up which is vintage-inspired,too...

Years ago when Dimps had her faery wedding here and while I was also one of the faery bridesmaids, I had that fixation that someday I wanted to get married on same so-wonderful-place,too. I never dreamed of really big churches --- this is just so perfect for us ---as intimate and solemn as it can hopefully be.

I had all goosebumps when my faery-buddy Dimples sent my now-wedding-dress-inspiration the other day. I sure have listed quite many links too (including from friends' suggestions and all) but this one blew me away!!!

And by the way, 'goosebumps' are pretty much my instinct saying 'this-is-so-it!!!' Teehee!

Apparently I am not a fan of ball-gown-types (or i mean big gowns), duh! I don't even know what to call those dresses/gowns. I am one of those late bloomers if I may just note and Dimples knew me too well,too that this is gonna be something I'd lurvvvv, less complications if i may specify: the vintage yet refreshing and 'dreamy' feel is there for me. But I know it'll be hard to find exactly one coz apparently it's an only one handmade by the mother's bride (My bff Yvon agrees, and wished we had a mother like hers. Hehe. You should visit the rest of that link!!!) --- and of course, I don't intend to copy-cat too all for originality's sake, hehe. Since we're going vintage, I'll most likely add some lace/beadwork to it but just less. Oh I don't know --- I hope my faery godmother leads me to it SooN because to-date, I've decided I'm not going to some dressmaker ---(i know this is gonna sound ridiculous) ---- instead I am going to hunt down every shop there is in Singapore or wherever (that includes flea markets by the way) and if need be, just get alterations by then --- so send me your lucks now! Haha

Seriously, I kinda want my dress to be eco-friendly (is that a good term for frugality,too haha) --- it's just not soo me to fit in those designer clothes. I sure drool on others that wear those really 'sophisticated' ones but when it comes to 'my wedding' --- I'd say I got my own definition,too. Tsk tsk. Oh you bet I wished my mother's wedding dress is still alive but no, it's been trashed long ago. =(

If all else fail, someone's gonna be panicking to go to the nearest dresshop. Uhmmm, and hope my wedding coordinator doesn't spank me for this! *winks to Tisha* LOL!

So i got piles of edits and few client shoots to do while planning my own church wedding ---- and that makes me almost hiring a personal assistant now. Ahahaha

Okayyyy enough of my blah-excuses --- at the end of this now-turned-out-dizzy day of finding what better wedding hues --- eng eng eng ---- Yvon found this inspiration for me from another cool blogger-friend of hers who also just got married last December '09. First things First

I have found me a free wedding site --- yayyy!

Oh but not putting it up yet until things are quite settled with suppliers and all that! ;p

First things first ---- so we're actually getting married again! *Oh that sends chills saying that.* =)

By the way if you missed it, we already got civilly married in Singapore and so this time around, exactly a year after --- 07/28/2010 @ 3pm --- we're doing it again in a church back home in Cebu! Weeeh!

And since me and the hubby are both based in SG, we're lucky to have one of the best wedding coordinators , a good friend back in high -- Tisha Mae Sanchez-Cue to help in the coordination of all planning in Cebu. Apart from being so inspired too from her own wedding story, I know she's the best to pick amongst the many. Woopeey that she agreed to work with us!!!

Today, I was also chattin' with my bff Yvon, reminding me 'NOT TO GO OVERWHELMED' on stuff so I don't miss out other more important things to prepare for the wedding --- that's coming from a just recently wed herself! =)

So yeah, I better hold on to my chair and say to me, 'Reeeelaxx'. *wink*

Hurray...I have finally enrolled to Yoga and started classes yesterday, so for starters like me, I need to try therapy yoga first before the really complex ones. And yeah, other than the health benefits of Yoga, I was only convinced to enroll because of my aching back. =(

But hurray now because even on the first class(where I came 10mins late teehee), I can feel the great help it can soon bring to me and take off worries from the hubby who keep listening to my rants. Haha! I am prayin' to get well very soon so I can go back to my other mat too...the dojo mat for my Aikido classes which I have left and missed badly even more. *sniff*

Yay! guess what? I managed to blog this out...my lazy brain working out! Woot! *wink*

'Errr' moments...

There goes the start of missing and late blogging ...Hah!
I sure did mention on my first post that I cannot promise to keep up with this site..LOL!

But but....because this Friday marks our 1st month being blissfully married, I am working on a simple scrapbook-slideshow kinda thing, oh which an idea I got from my friend Aimee Wright. Weeeeeeeeh! And yet to explore that software too for more other sets I can come up! Hmmmm so far, it's kinda easy and fun to play with!!!

Although I have this "plan" to really handcraft our own adventure book,too..if you've seen UP movie, you know which one I meant. *wink* So until then, if procrastination doesn't hit me, that will still be on the 'yet-to-start-project-list' ..teehee!!!

Hmmm, my friend Bevlee suggested too that I start posting my 'nice finds' in the blog. So, adding that to my 'to-blog-about-list' too. I can smell Mr Procastination whispering. Errrr. Go away! Hah!!!

Oh well, today's not-so-busy-day at work so that's why I got the focus to write here again. Although I still got the pending draft to my travelogue to the honeymoon Phi Phi trip undone. Errr again. Maybe I'll go and skip it and move on....or maybe not.

So what comes after a wedding?

Ha-ha-honeymoon trip of course! Weeeeeeeeeeh!

We booked the tickets long time ago and since then, I've been checking Phuket Weather Blog. Teehee! And ever since working and living in Singapore for over a year now, the beach life has never been the same compared to the life in the sunny beaches of Cebu. So, after waiting in vain, it was but a perfect idea to have our island get-away for our honeymoon. I'm probably the more excited one as the 'hubby' is not as freaky as I am when it comes to samba under the sun. But I am sure he's more than excited about something else,too. Ha ha ha.

On the day of our flight last July 30 8:55am, we prayed hard the weather will conspire us ---- and Thank YOU again Mr Universe, it sure did all throughout the 3-day trip! Wooopeeey!

It was a 1.5hr plane ride from SG to Phuket, so we arrived roughly around 11am. We had to travel another 1hr taxi ride from the airport to the Rasada pier by then (that cost us only 100 baht/pax). We paid ahead for our boat tickets at the airport for about 800 baht (2-way Phuket-PhiPhi Island). [Trip tip: We realized that you can actually just buy 1 way and save more buying a cheaper return ticket when you're in the island.] We lounged around the pier where all the rest of other passengers were also waiting. Funny how we noticed we were the only 'not-Caucasian' there and always mistaken as one of the 'locals' as Thai people totally were similar to Filipinos. Even the whole country side was too familiar back home, except the scribblings/ads everywhere are written the Thai way (which actually made me dizzy in trying to read it LOL).

By the time for our boarding, which was 230pm, I was feelin' delirious already and can't wait to see how Phi Phi will mesmerize me. Hehehe. The boat trip was another 2 hrs ride, half the time I was eyes-wide gazing over the ocean and the other half, catching more sleep. Oh, you wonder what the hubby was doing? Playing Soduko on his phone. LOL!!!

When the boat was approaching the Phi phi islands, I had to get out of the sun deck area and be greatly awed with what I was seeing. Gawwwwwd, I wished we're never going home. Hahaha

Off we went our way to unpack to our very nice bungalow-style hotel room (all worth for only 1750 baht/night) which was peeking over the beach itself. Woot woot!!!

As it was already late afternoon, we didn't dip yet as much as how tempting it was already since we wanted to find our way first to the whole island.

So what better way to spend the rest of the afternoon?

Sky-gazing.
And singing..."Will you still love me...tomorrow?"

The Wedding, Finally!

But first, here's a little playback.

So when did we start planning the wedding?
I know it seemed sudden to some and a BIG surprise to most but we decided right when we ask ourselves "why not?" and maybe another thought too was "Isn't it about time finally after more than 9 years?" LOL!

Of course, like any other long engagements, we've been through a lot together and I need not to really mention every page of the story right? Haha. What's more important is the "NOW" and the days ahead where we both can grow together even with our differences and learn to love more each other like never before.

After receiving blessings from our parents, we applied for a civil matrimony first through ROM and had a DIY planning. (Thanks for the inspiration and advices from a friend Dee who did their wedding through ROM as well early this year and the great assistance from my BFFs Mae (in Cebu) and Yvon (in SG). And since I wanted it to be held somewhere near a beach/garden, the Pasir Ris Park (Singapore) which was a few minutes away from the house was just perfectly right and FREE to use. We actually bought our wedding bands about a few months ago (May 2009) and even before that, I was itchy to wear my ring already. Haha. We found the best dining place also, only a few minutes walk from our venue --- so the beachy-feel I love was already there and the food was all just perfect,too.

And Yes, I'm probably the simplest Bride-in-Green you'll know so far (with less make up and shoes from my sponsor Nina weeeh!) and everyone else was in White. Why? ---well, Why not?. Teehee! I'll have my turn to wear the White one soon anyway, a year later as planned for our church wedding to be held in Cebu. That will be another exhilarating adventure soon! And wait, does that still make me a Bride-to-be? Hahaha *winks to Tishoo*

So anyhoo, when the BIG TUESDAY 28th of July, 2009 finally came, I can't avoid getting all jittery about weather conditions and all (some other group of people had even used our venue ahead of us as it was a first-come-first use-basis, huhuh, good thing they gave way to us) Oh great God, THANK YOU. Grateful with our only 7 witnesses (as 1 was late, hmp!), we finallyyyyyyyyyyyyy said our "I Do's" (with a little drama) right in the middle of the park. Many thanks to the very kind Minister, Mrs Belen for solemnizing the event. We wished our families and more of our friends were here but oh well, it was after all, what we considered a final rehearsal. LOL!!! So we'll hopefully see more witnesses by 2010! Woot!

So much more to say and to be thankful for (Mr. UNIVERSE most importantly). I just can't really describe more how amazing it all turned out. *BIGGEST GRIN*

TODAY's Weather Forecast in Singapore: 32°C, Current: Mostly Cloudy (but there were clear blue blue skies), Wind: S at 19 km/h, Humidity: 66%...and at 3 o'clock, down at the park, in the midst of shady trees and few mins away from the breeze of the beach.....WE JUST GOT MARRIED!!!! Tadaaah!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Yes, yes, yes!
Me and Brian, no matter how very different we were, finally, after 9 years + 7 months of long-sometimes-twisted-rollercoaster-love-and-LQ-ride (teehee!), have said our 'I Do's'! Woot woot!

And I just made this new blogsphere just this morning just because!!!!

I can't promise to update this blog all the time, but I thought there's another space I can write up my musings to this ever-new-wonderful-scary-exciting-exhilarating-journey of getting and being married!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehehehehe!!!

I am still catchin' up for air from all in a day's work (can't wait for all awesome pics to be uploaded). Sadly, I couldn't be my own photographer for my own wedding, can't I? Teehee!

BIG BIG BIG THANKS for all the wonderful and happy thoughts sent on our wedding day!
It was only a 9-amazing-crazy-people-ceremony as we kept it really private and practical. *smirk*
